Remortgage activity surges to highest level since November 2008

The latest figures from LMS reveal that the number of remortgage loans increased by 47% from 31,600 in June to 46,423 in July. This was 89% higher than the number of remortgages recorded in July 2014 and in the biggest number recorded since November 2008.
