News & Insights // CLS team to run British 10k London run in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital!

We (a team of just over 30 budding runners from CLS) are taking part in this year’s Vitality British 10k London run to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Thanks to numerous 0-10k training programmes, the CLS troop (many of whom have never participated in a run before) are preparing to compete in the event on Sunday 12th July and we are urging everyone to support us and get behind this great cause.

You can do this by clicking Here and donating what you can (no amount is too small or too large)!

Here’s what our money could buy:

£20 - could buy four special neonatal masks, small and delicate enough to fit a newborn baby’s face.

£50 - could give one of our families a good night’s sleep in the hospital’s parent and family accommodation, and let a poorly child stay close to mum or dad.

£100 - could buy four toys specially adapted for children to help with their rehabilitation.

£650 - could fund the hospital’s 24-hour multi-faith chaplaincy service for one day, which helps families to cope with the spiritual and emotional impact of a patient’s illness.

£1,000 - could pay for a life–saving heart and lung bypass machine.

Keep an eye on our Twitter Page for updates!

Thank you so much for your support.
The CLS Team.
